Local Plan
Planning is about how we can plan for, and make decisions about, the future of towns, cities and countryside.
The government has passed the main responsibility for planning to local authorities who are responsible for deciding whether a development should go ahead. Every local authority in England has a Local Plan which contains information regarding the developments, timetables of production of key policy documents and statements of community involvement.
Through Promap, you are now able to view Local Plan information for a specific area detailing development plans and greenbelt areas that may affect decision making.
