Public Sector Mapping Agreement

What PSMA means to you

From 1st April the new Public Sector Mapping Agreement (PSMA) for England & Wales offers town, parish and community councils the opportunity to access a range of 'FREE' Ordnance Survey products. This includes access to maps not freely available before this date such as OS Mastermap and 1:25,000 scale mapping.

Once you have signed up you will be licensed to use the maps as part of your administrative business and you can share the data between the public, private and voluntary sectors in your area.

Bringing your local area to life

Whether you are planning your royal party events or highlighting local road closures Promap can help you unlock the value from the free data.

Using Promap means Clerks, Councillors and support staff can access maps of their local area. Through Promap you will have access to the full range of Ordnance Survey 'FREE' mapping where you can view, save, print, annotate, email or publish to your website from any PC with an internet connection.

Promap can help you build the picture and tell your Parishioners or Constituents everything from locating the amenities available in your area to planning applications and highlighting accident or crime black spots to influence action. Some additional uses of Promap would be to help you plot local walks, indicate rubbish collection routes, planned road closures or possible areas for community gardens in fact anything your Local Council or Parish may wish to put on a map.
