Opening maps

This chapter explains how to locate a site and display a map of it in Promap.

When searching for a site, you have the option of using address information, a place name, an Easting and Northing, an export frame determined by an Easting and Northing, or by uploading a shape file. When you have found the site, you can indicate it on the map with a site marker and you can choose which layer you would like to look at first.

This chapter also gives you some tips on how to search for a site if you have only vague location details and how to search for sites for development.

Finally, there is information on how to open saved map files.
