This website uses a secure connection to protect any sensitive information (e.g. your username and password) that is exchanged between you and our server. The secure connection mechanism is the same as that used by on-line banking and shopping sites to protect your account/credit card details.
Promap will require you to download an ActiveX control in order to use the website. If you are accessing this website from a machine on your corporate network, your Internet connection may be protected by a firewall. A firewall is designed to protect your corporate network from malicious attacks through the Internet. It may be configured to prevent you downloading ActiveX controls and other executable programs (which can be malicious).
It may also be configured to prevent you accessing websites that uses secure communications (perhaps to prevent employees shopping on-line during work hours).
If either of the above applies to you, Promap will not work correctly. You should contact your systems/network administrator and enquire about the possibility of relaxing these two constraints, or use a machine that is not governed by the firewall. The Promap website works in the same way as most other websites, all traffic between your system and our servers uses standard ports, 80 (http) and 443 (https).
The Promap website does use pop-ups in it's operation, you may have to configure your pop-up blocker software on your PC to allow our website to produce pop-ups.
