To locate a new site by export frame

 

1.Click the Address Search button on the standard toolbar.

If you already had a map loaded you will be prompted to save that map before another is loaded. We recommend that you save any loaded map before locating another.

The Locate by dialog box will appear:

 

2.Click on the Locate by export frame tab:

 

3.Choose which type of export frame you require and enter the required information.

Rectangle Export (Using Centre Point)

This option will require you to enter the Easting and Northing co-ordinates, in metres, for the centre of the area you are interested in. Then you will be required to enter the width and height, in metres, of the rectangle you wish to create.

Rectangle Export

This option will require you to enter the Easting and Northing co-ordinates, in metres, for the top-left and bottom-right corners of your required rectangle.

Circle Export

This option will require you to enter the Easting and Northing co-ordinates, in metres, for the centre of your circle and then set the radius you require around it.

Shape Export

This option will require you to upload a SHP file as a zip file, or a DXF file to define your site area.

4.Click Create.

A list of available map layers will be displayed to view.  The map layers available will be dependant on the size of export frame defined.

5.Select the layer you would like to display and click Go To Map.

If you select to view a chargeable layer the Enter Expenditure Details popup box will appear to warn you that you are about to do a chargeable action. Enter a Project and Reference for your map view and this will be entered into your accounting files. For more information on expenditure details go to Enter Expenditure details

Your chosen map layer  with your export frame will now be displayed.  The Exporting steps will be automatically open down the left hand side of the screen for you to proceed with your data order.  See Exporting the Data for more information.
